Central AR | Not sure if this will help, but when I upgraded to a new computer some time ago I had to do this. Install the Quicken program on the new computer from the original CD. Next locate the data files (your farm and/or personal books) on the old computer. In my case they were in C:/quickenw folder and began with my farm name (the account name) and there are several of those files beginning with the same name (your personal Quicken account name that you have been using). Copy all of those data files, that begin with that same name, over to the new computer's Quicken main directory. They may even fit on a floppy disk or you can do a few at a time until you get them all transfered. Start up the new Quicken 2007 and if it is like the other upgrades I have used it will convert the old data files to the new Quicken. If not uninstall the new Quicken and put the data files on first THEN install the new Quicken. | |
