High Springs, Florida | In simple terms, you need to capture the video from the VHS tape to the hard drive of your computer. MS Movie maker will do this, as well as a host ofother programs you can find on the internet. Once the movie is captured, you then use Nero to burn it onto a DVD. I believe Movie maker only captures to .WMV format, which is highly compressed. It would be better to use another capture program that does not compress as much, or not at all and uses one of the MPEG file formats, which is native to the DVD format.
