Inwood, WV | Hey Ryan, ISU has a computer and accessories showroom just for students and faculty. They offer substantial discounts on multiple brands of laptops, desktops and accessories. I suspect other large schools do the same. Definitely wait until you get to school and make your decision. At ISU, about every third student (it seems) carries a laptop. The whole school is wireless, too, so you can access the network in class, library, cafe, whatever. I think you will make a better decision, and maybe save some money if you talk to someone, and other students, at your new school. BTW, I have seen very few laptop operators using their computer in lectures--for the actual lecture. I am sure you wouldn't do that. :)
