Subject: RE: Averaging Data

Roger,
What settings are you using in the "New View" box? I'm assuming that you're using Averaging. But what % is your smoothing set to? The Smoothing is used to take out "spikes" in the data and smooth it into adjoining contours. The "New View" box allows you to try different smoothing settings and it will save each as a separate view. This makes it easier to see the effect that the smoothing has since you can create views with 0%, 50% and 100% smoothing (as an example) and then flip between the views to see the effect. Also, when you create a contoured view you have the option to enter a Minimum Area for the contour. If this gets set higher, the program will start combining smaller contours into adjoining contours.

Feel free to e-mail me if there's anything I can do to help.
