Yes. Microsoft Windows CE is the operating system used by Raven’s Viper display. Windows CE supports most networking protocols. Ag Leader’s software, SMS Advanced, can be installed in a networked environment. On farm support visits could be reduced through remote access to the display. John Deere’s asset tracking system, which this would eliminate the need for, lists at $2495 for one vehicle. Data incorrectly entered at the vehicle would be reduced. Data could be backed up nightly. Jobs could be created and queued thus reducing travel time to update storage cards. The technology exists and considering the amount of r&d dollars spent on previous projects pricing may be reasonable for a product like this.
