You don't say what the problem is with your current tractor or if it has other problems. With a $15000 budget it will be pretty easy to buy someone else's problem and put a $5000 repair in it and still have a $15000 tractor. Have one in my shop right now. I think it will be a nice tractor when it's done. Just saying.


Believe me, I have thought about this too. I honestly don't want to buy a tractor right now, but I am running out of options. The issue with my current tractor is it's underpowered and worn out. A 656 gas Farmall with 7000 original hours. It has tons of blow by, burns oil like crazy, and here recently has started burning up spark plugs and losing power. It struggles to pull my 12 foot disc and 6 row planter. This tractor will never leave the farm, but I don't have the time to rebuild it right now. And I could use a little more horsepower anyway.
