10, and1486 are cats meow compared to case, until you get to 96/96 series. I run a 1086 on tmr mixer. Torqey little snot. Good cab, good heat and air. Climbing in and out isn't fun, but you get usedto it. Keep a couple extra ignition keys. If you're a tall guy. You'll break the key off from time to time with your knees. Best thing is those old girls are done depreshiating unless you tear it up. My son bought a very nice 1486 for light duty work. I ran it quite abit. Pretty much hated every second of it. I’m fairly tall, fairly physically fit, and hated getting in and out, and the clumsy shift levers.and hitting my knee on the key all the time. Did I mention the drawbar is invisible? Short coupled, so rough ride. Great engine though, good road speed for the era. I’d like to have an open station 1070 all dolled up just for shows, plowing events. One of the coolest looking tractors out there if fixed up right. But not as a daily driver.
