| "I sure appreciate Jon talking the wheat market up."
Id be MORE THAN HAPPY.. for someone else to step up and lose their crops.. we're approaching 250 days without a rain over an inch.. basically the drought here started in 2022.. we got some monsoonal rains last summer after July 4th.. but they were basically heavy mistings.. 0.25".. 0.18".. 0 32" etc.. Nothing to rebuild deep soil moisture on.
We've been forecast for an inch of rain.. but so far "snake eyes." Dodge City NWS is talking about a "Cap Strengthening" over us.

So, hopefully our luck will change.. very little dryland has gone in here due to the lack of moisture to germinate.. Some are already talking prevented plantings.. and returning seed.
I don't feel like I'm "talking anything up" other than "reporting how things are."
I sold some corn this week for $5.50.. no basis weakness here yet.
Cheers.
