Subject: John Deere planter seed disk openers bent

Central Minnesota
Replacing seed disk openers on a 1750 planter. picked up new john deere disk and started putting them on last night, have tried 6 different disk so far and trying to get the contact point set but is varying from 1.5"-3.25" with just a 1/8 turn of the blades and every number in between as i go around the blade. How much difference would be tolerable? Starting to think it is not going to pay to keep going with these blades. I think its strange the blades are dated back to Dec. 2022 that they would have that old of blades yet. For those that have gone to wearparts blades, how much more are these and who in central Minnesota that sells them. Thanks
