Subject: RE: Push button lift switch for Ag Leader/Precision Planting

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I don't believe that would work with the implement switch arrangement on Ag Leader modules since they need an ON/OFF type arrangement where ON indicates that the implement in in the operating position.

The switch as shown is the style that Ag Leader uses with their combine yield monitoring kits. Ag Leader's is really just a "pot" on an arm. The unit was mounted under the combine cab and had a small chain leading to the feeder house.

As the feeder house height changed it pulled on the arm. As the the unit is rotated, its internal wiper arm picks up its voltage from a different place around the resistive circle inside. This has the voltage divider effect and produces a varying voltage depending on the position. This wire is fed to an ADC (analog to digital converter) which changes the voltage into a number. The operator can then set the position where he wants recording to begin.
