Not sure if it is right, but I have always “returned” other peoples trees. Throwing them back over the fence, ramming it back into their tree line and ripping off with excavator. This is what we have always done, I didn’t want to be accused of taking something that is not mine, so I give it back in whatever shape it is in to get it there.
