If grazing rotate it shorter intervals are best, but could go 7-10 days if labor or time is issue, sacrifice a little gain on the cattle to take it down pretty good could spread a little potash and mix some clovers with it, ladino for sure maybe some alsike or red. Hope for some rain at some time and cattle hoof action ton incorporate your seed. Would not worry about weeds too much if grazed tight for a year, maybe 2 it will drastically change the look of things for the better. I would think Michigan should be similar to this area and will not have serious weed issues. Could make some hay on part of it if you are short of cattle, you know your area and rainfall so it is a guess how much to make, bad part about hay is until it gets cleaned off you do not kn ow what is lying out there, safest to just graze before running equipment on it.
