| The last ten years or so of one uncle's life I tried and tried to get him to buy some examples of tractors he had farmed with. Wanted to have projects we could work on together.
He had long been retired and appeared to have a thing for John Deere brand tractors. So i thought ok cool lets get some old tractors. Didn't work out as hoped. Instead his love was for mules. That's what he had started out with as a kid helping his dad and grandfather farming with mules. Uncle had all these impressive calendars with mules in them. But he never bought any mules either or additional land to hobby farm with them. I would've been happy helping him with mules even if he had chosen them over tractors. | |
