Gooseneck across state lines? May need to read about DOT regulations.. I've hauled 9000 lb tractor on RR ties laying inside fenders so tires wouldn't sit on fenders. Was around 150 miles. Not sure I'd like it 1000.

That’s a few factors. Iowa involved. That’s why even with new tires on GN I would hesitate to drive it in Iowa. My car trailer is rated well over. It’s shown hair over 8000lbs w/loader *unless all 4 tires have fluid* and/or weights. W/loader wet weights show me well under trailer axle numbers. Toss bucket in bed of truck if needed. New tires 2 years back on trailer, 4 on 1 ton dsl.
The posts to drive over fenders I know works well. It just looks sketchy. Tractor height under 10’ so no issue there over fenders.
Sad to consider using less capable trailer to avoid legal issues.
