NW IL | We’re constantly trying new products on a very small percentage of our acres whether it’s $3 corn or not reason being I want to know what works so when crop prices improve we know what to use across all our acres.
Having said that when someone tells me their product has shown a 5bu gain in a dozen trials I assume it’s also shown 0 gain in the other 3 dozen trials they don’t want to talk about.
I don’t nickel and dime the added costs associated with the yield gain. I just shoot for a 3 to 1 return and figure that will easily cover added costs. | |
