North Central Illinois | I'm not sure how much it is reasonable to add harvest cost to the extra bushels since it doesn't make much difference to the combine, but definitely figure the trucking and drying costs. Fertilizer side I wouldn't count N cost unless you actually change your applied rates as a result of the extra 5 bu.
Easiest way to make the decision is figure your per bushel costs for storage, trucking, drying, and fertilizer. Then subtract that from your $4.28 or whatever the cash price is. | |
