One can almost always hire it done cheaper than doing yourself, if one includes all the costs.
There is always someone who will farm it custom figuring they will get first chance when you fail or retire.
That being said.
Buying an older line of machinery is not terrible hard or expensive.
$30,000 -$40,000 will buy a 16 row Kinze with finger pickups. $20,000 will buy a 4840 to pull it. I could buy both of those today, even though it is
Easter Sunday. That is enough to No till a crop.
A four or 6 row 7000 can be bought for even less, and be pulled buy a $6500 tractor.
If that equipment is not your cup of tea, they will be easily sold, for about what you paid.
The local Coop will spray and do fertilizer if you can not find some thing before then.
That gives you till fall to buy harvest equipment or some one to do it.
