Subject: RE: How Long Have You Stored Corn?

Nevada, Iowa
I've had my share of accidents but I have stored corn for 4 years at times in the past. The less fines and broken kernels, the better. Corn at 13 percent or less will help your success greatly. A little air once a month will help, not as necessary once it's cold in the late fall. Watch for signs of bugs. Buggy grain will almost guarantee the corn is going out of condition or will be soon. Having said all that, I've only done this on 8-10k bins, not larger structures.
