Subject: Auto shutoff for grain elevator overhead load out?

Installing overhead load out for our leg. I have been told to put sensor near the top (allowing enough room for drags and leg to clean out of course) to tell bins/reclaim drags/legs to shut off when it is full. I am skeptical of the switch being reliable over time in the dusty environment. Those with experience - do you have auto shutoffs/are they reliable/what type of sensor? If no sensor you would have to wait there until full which would negate the benefit of the overhead, also if no sensor how do you know when the overhead is full?
