The distraction we need to clarify here is the 3 different systems Deere calls see & spray.
See & Spray Select, Premium and Ultimate.
Your mainly describing Ultimate and the OP is asking about to best of my knowledge Premium the retrofit kit and Select is just for spraying fallow ground.
I would expect select to essentially go away or be incorporated into premium at some point.
