Subject: Planting lawn with grain drill

SW Ohio
I have about 3 acres to seed around my new house, I'm hoping to finish the dirt work today.
It's been recommended to me to use a brillion seeder, unfortunately I don't have one and the closest one I can find to rent is 50 miles away.
Would I be crazy to use my Case IH 5400 drill? It's 7" spacing and I could go over the ground a couple times with it.
I have a blend of turf type tall fescue, bluegrass and perennial ryegrass that I got from a sod farm.
My thinking is I could get it done today if I use my drill but if I have to go rent the Brillion it's going to have to wait until after the incoming rain.
