McLean county IL | Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge, expect lots of traffic congestion and " tourist trap" commercialized stuff
Dollywood is great shows/ rides for the day
Personally, wife and I enjoy the drive thru Smoky mtn Nat park and Cares Cove park Then to west edge of smokies ( 30 min away) is Townsend. Very peaceful place to view the mtns on a walking / bike path. Plenty of shops n eateries. My two cents worth
