Subject: RE: Tile holes.

You need to stop the flow of water in tile so dirt falling into hole can’t wash away. Then only a relatively small amount of dirt can fall into tile. If you till the soil you probably won’t notice if a small hole develops as you will fill it in with tillage. No till doesn’t work that way, you may need to manually fill. “Here” with no till, I have plugged the tile at the furthest downstream location and pattern tiled every 30’ (breaking through tile every 30’). I have replaced old clay tile mains by trenching directly up them installing new slightly deeper.

Fastest long term fix. I’ve marked rotten tile location with tile Maverick and pulled tile plow slightly deeper than tile wrecking entire tile run. You will probably have some tile parts surface but tile holes will stop.
