boakfarms - 3/22/2024 06:16 Similar to the local Amish , 10 year old barefoot kids working in the sawmill with absolutely no safety equipment of any type . Open drives and open belts every where plus a 238 Detroit at continuous full throttle , no safety glasses , no hearing protection , and they get a pass
My cousin stopped in at one of the Mennonite farms one day for some reason. They were chopping hay and filling silo. He said the tractor was sitting there running wide open and two little kids who looked to be about seven or eight were cleaning up hay off the ground and throwing it in the blower. He said they were acting like typical little kids, horsing around, smacking each other with the fork. He said he had to leave, it was like watching an amateur chainsaw juggler.

1 boy is almost a man, 2 boys are half a boy, and 3 are no boys.

Let kids do "dangerous" things safely, weas a society have so insulated kids, young adults from knowing what could hurt them or others, they have no concept when they get away from "mommy" they really get hurt/killed doing dumb stuff that - if allowed to as a kid - they would know stupid hurts.
