I had a carpet layer at our place a year ago during the winter. He came to my place at between 9 and 10 am. I let him in the house and did paperwork at my desk while he was finishing up. When he finally left at about noon he made a snide comment about farmers doing nothing in the winter and it must be nice to take the winter off. I them e planned to him that my wife was in bed feeling sick so I stayed in the house that day to care for her. I told him I’d be glad to have him come another day and that he would be welcome to try and keep up with me. I the. Listed off the things my dad and I do all winter long whether it’s cold out or not. The guy was not the brightest as he knew we were adding on to the house the next spring. I was more than glad to buy my carpet elsewhere. | |
