Went to Gulfport, MS for a week. Got back last Saturday.

EZ-Air Park works just fine.
Northern Iowa is just as windy as Southern Minnesota.
A big tie-dye painted van will elicit a range of responses from other motorists.
Bootheel of Missouri and northern Arkansas are VERY flat. I saw my first cotton field outside of Sikeston. That was cool.
Flood irrigation is interesting. I wish I knew how it all worked.
There's no bypass for Memphis and traffic sucks.
It's a lot of fun to drive south this time of year and watch things get greener and more flowery.
The gulf of Mexico isn't quite as salty as Delaware coast. And it's calm and shallow so you don't have to watch the kids as closely.
You can't buy full-strength wine at the grocery store, but you can buy full-strength beer. And you can't get beer at the liquor store in Mississippi.
Remoulade is delicious and so are po'boys.
Downtown New Orleans smells really, really good.
Alligators are shy and don't like cool, cloudy weather.
The St. Louis Gateway Arch is MUCH cooler than I expected. There's a whole museum underground and it's a National Park and free!
5.4l V8 makes a LOT of noise when the exhaust comes unhooked.
O'Reilly Auto Parts in Keokuk, Iowa is open on Saturdays 'til 2.
2 families of 4 can travel together without killing each other.
Heifers won't calve if your wife flies home early just to be safe.
Homegrown beef tastes extra good when you haul it 1300 miles.
I only saw 1 tractor being used on the whole trip and it was mowing a median. Even the beachcombers were parked.
