Central Indiana | Don’t plant any sweetcorn for at least a week after you would try to plant the first commercial corn. Sweetcorn germ is very finicky but usually higher than normal corn. It doesn’t take much to disrupt its sprout and have a failure. Sweetcorn doesn’t tolerate ground temps in the 40s very well and if it isn’t up in 10-14 days the seed is mushy and you start all over again. Very expensive to replace seed if you are buying it | |
