Picked up a farm that loaded with cockleburs. Had beans on it last year and where the burs were the worst, the beans were not harvested. It’s a hill farm so there’s alot of old burs still standing. Planning on no tilling it, with beans again. Ground is marginal to good. What would you do?
At least in Indiana cocklebur comes late in the season. We've found it's best to go E3 beans and then at fungicide time I mark where needs to be cleaned up and go back and spray them with Enlist. Most of the time at least ours it maybe just a pass around the tree lines. We see that Enlist doesn't both yield any that late in season where we have seen yield loss with Roundup.
