We have a regular TV antenna attached to the outside of the house. It is one that should bring in signal from 75 miles. We have it facing N NW to bring in signal from the quad cities stations. Last evening before the storms went through the signal went haywire. In fact it started on some stations hours before the storms came through. In the midst of the severe thunderstorm no TV to see if there were warnings. We had hail too and the satellite internet was out too. Smart phone would still bring in radar. All day we have been trying to figure this out. We tried tightening the cables at all connections. Except the wind is a bit too much to climb a ladder to the roof. Everything looks fine. Then from 4:00 to 4:50 the TV worked fine. Now it is back to a broken sound and picture on all stations and some won't come in at all. So I'm wondering if poor signal strength is affecting anyone else? Are then any solar flares or etc. that could be affecting our signal? Right now our best signal is coming from a TV hooked to one of those cheap window Antennas but it doesn't bring in further stations. |
