| My Grandad rented the Roulette Farm at the Antietam battlefield, down Bloody Lane, for years. Now my Uncle farms it. The barn had cannonball damage we always looked at when filling it with straw. The older guy that owned it used to say how every year after plowing you could walk the field and just pick up bullets. He sold to the park service just before he passed. They don't allow metal detecting. Can't even put straw in the barn anymore. | |
