What you feed them will be determined by the rate of gain you are shooting for.
What you are shooting for will be determined by when/ how you want to market them.
Currently I plan to sell my feeders as yearlings, I don’t want them to fleshy or the buyers won’t bid them up but also don’t want them green or I won’t make as much bank.
I’m feeding a 46 NEG and looking for 2-2.2 pounds of gain a day. If I planned on fattening them out I would be feeding them a little harder. | |
