Rate of gain will depend on what you feed them.

What you feed them will be determined by the rate of gain you are shooting for.

What you are shooting for will be determined by when/ how you want to market them.

Currently I plan to sell my feeders as yearlings, I don’t want them to fleshy or the buyers won’t bid them up but also don’t want them green or I won’t make as much bank.

I’m feeding a 46 NEG and looking for 2-2.2 pounds of gain a day. If I planned on fattening them out I would be feeding them a little harder.
