W.C. Mo. | I spent over a year in one after falling 20 + feet and shattering every bone in both feet. 5 months flat on my back after surgery then I had to learn to walk again. I had a good set of knee pads which I about wore out crawling. Scared my wife one afternoon when she got home from work to find my wheelchair out in the barn lot with me not to be found. Dad had to shut combine down to do evening chores and I snuck out, crawled up the ladder on my knees, and went out and ran the combine for a couple hours. Man it felt good to get out and actually do something but I paid the price the next day with pain.
But you are right. You get a whole new perspective seeing the world from 40 inches high. A street curb might as well be a 6 ft wall. | |
