St. Joseph, Champaign County, IL | 1/4 mile. House was built in the late 1980's. It's closer than would prefer, but have become used to it. Has only had two owners, original builder who was son of land owner, and current owner. Fortunately both owners and families have been good neighbors.
Have a roughly acre sized piece of ground to the West of my house (maybe 250' of yard between house and ground) that's somewhat separated from the rest of the ground by an old hedge row. Over the years, there have been a couple times people have left notes/ letters in the mailbox saying they'd like to buy that small piece to build on. No thanks. My parents (before me) and I didn't/don't want someone that close. |
