Depending on what the board that your leg goes through is and what it has to look like, what I have done is cut a strip out of the middle of the board as wide as your leg. Then I cut two 39 degree angles in that board where the leg goes and then glue it back together, If you cut nice and clean and dont forget to allow for saw kerf the glue joints are barely noticable. I hope that makes sense.
