Worst part about brokerage accounts for me is that it's so easy to buy and sell. For a few years i bought and sold individual stocks and ETF's but i came to find I was just better off making my land payments or paying extra. If i want to invest in the market i put my money in my employer sponsored 401k or my HSA. I knew if the piece of ground came up for sale behind my house I'd be pulling all that money out if it was up 50% or down 50% on a brokerage account. Only thing i use Fidelity for now is money market and CD's that mature when my land payments are due. Borrowed money for 3.5% in 2021 and now CD's are north of 5%. So I usually pay the minimum...
