EC SoDak | This was for cornstalks going to soybeans. If it’s a more average year, we will have the moisture to get the soybeans up even with the rye. If not, it could be a disaster. Last year a neighbor let it grow a while and then chopped it before planting beans later in May. It had quit raining and it took a long time before those beans came up, I want to say a bit into July.
My plan is to terminate the rye while spraying the pre, so in a typical year, the first week of May. If it looks to be excessively dry, I suppose I may just have to go out earlier. | |
