coast of Maine | Land has always been a very good place to have your future in.Here the 80's was not what it was in the midwest,,it was dull always.Im now considering the amount of property tax we are paying on land bought in the 80's.A couple young farmers tried the equipment route and not land,,they are gone,,I have one parcel that the taxes annually are as much as the original purchase price,,,so this is a major concern,if I retire it will all go to non ag.Maybe I should say' when' as no one comes out with no ending in life..no truck payments,no equip payments,ever again,,,land yes. | |
