| Apheresis donations
the removal of blood plasma from the body by the withdrawal of blood, its separation into plasma and cells, and the reintroduction of the cells, used especially to remove antibodies in treating autoimmune diseases.
Machine collects platelets, or red cells etc. and returns rest. Old machines used a needle in each arm. Now collect an return thru same needle.
Can get credit for up to 3 units per donation.
Can also donate more frequently.
Years ago I was called to donate every 3 days for over a month. Dr. said later a cancer patient was doing much better on my cells than other's. That card made
donating more important.
