Marcellus, Mi | What they think it is verses the reality. They think the animal has received better treatment, thus the product deserves a higher cost. The reality is, they slap a label on it and producers continue to give the same good quality care they've always given and retail keeps the extra margin.
The consumer has no idea how little margin goes back to the producer while retail pockets the larger percent. | |
