~how can an educated banker say prices are 1.50 below production for EVERY farmer? They may be for his borrowers, but not for everyone. There are plenty of debt free operations that can be profitable at these levels.
~I know it's not good but it's not panic time yet when it appears a very high % of farmers still have unsold grain in the elevator or on their farm
AND, this is at a time of the year when most farmers shd have their operating loans in place for next year. You dont get next year's loan without:
Being strong financially
Having previous year paid off.
Bottom line, you can't paint the whole farm economy with the same brush. | |
