Bartlett near Cherryvale, Kansas (south east Kansas)website says they will start receiving soybeans soon as in Q1, and start crushing soybeans Q3. They are 110 miles from me. Says they will crush 45 million bu/yr. Which would be about 1/3 of Kansas soybeans produced the last 2 years, or a little less than a 1/4 of average years. Cargill in Wichita is 35 miles from me, hopefully the new plant will draw some business away from Cargill and reduce lines at Cargill! |
