east central ND | The one at Casselton, ND should be going for this coming harvest. Letter they put out says 125,000 bu a day, 42 million bu a year. Should be interesting to see what their bids will be. I’m 45 miles away.
Then there is the on at Spiritwood, ND. About 85? Miles away, might have opened last fall? 150,000 bu a day crusher and refinery???
When they are both going, it should give the shuttle loaders in the area sending soys to the Pacific Northwest something to think about. The shuttle loaders were the only big buyer before.
If both plants run full speed, they might suck up 1/4 to 1/3 of ND soybean production. I googled ND, and found the USDA it says about 5.6 million acres of beans for 2023.
