I assume you are selling wet bushels with no shrink. 16 cents seems rediculous. A sweetener plant near me takes no shrink however takes 1 percent of the money for every half percent of moisture. 4.50 corn would be 9 cents a point but paid for every pound. Gas and electric cost me 2-3 cents per point plus shrink at home. I typically figure 1.25 percent shrink per point of drying and comes out pretty accurate. Most elevators take 1.4 per point here.
