If the farms are on biosecure lock down yes that is a concern. As far as out of pocket expense litter imo is not gonna be. Is it cheaper in long run because you are getting a lot more nutrients or your dollar spent? Yes. But short term out of pocket I’d say absolutely not. Litter is expensive and a lot of work!
