Subject: RE: Redjacket grain roaster

West Central Wisconsin
I use a lot of roasted beans at our mill. They add good natural fat, protein, excellent aroma, and a great flavor to the feeds. I consistently use 275lbs per ton in our calf feeds and reduce it as the cattle fed get larger.

Edit: I have looked into red jacket roasters. The look intriguing fir small production. However, as production needs increase, they become less interesting to me due to the large electrical service needed. Most high volume roasters are gas fired.
