EC SD | I have learned to avoid using options on stocks with an earnings report before expiration. It can pay off big, of course, but I have found the volatility spike prior to earnings makes the options very expensive to buy and selling options in that time frame is highly risky.
Take a look at CLS - really soaring since it broke out above $30 recently. Too late to buy - maybe. I am waiting and hoping for a pullback to $35 at least, but this one may just keep running like POWL did. Bullish analysts are saying CLS will go to $72 in a year, so maybe waiting for a pullback is a mistake.... | |
