4" of foam and nothing exposed and constant water usage will keep it from freezing. Or bury it. If you have a high water table everything is easier to do on solar, 30' of lift vs 200 is a big difference in the power required. I'd bet most waterers will work fine on 5-10 psi with big enough pipe. 2,000 or so gallon storage on a hill might be enough most of the time. Still want a generator available for those cloudy spells.
