Solar could work for pumping the water, but you'd be storing the water and insulating it to keep it warm, and there'd be no way you'd do solar powered electric heated waterers practically. Angus down lower has the idea. Wouldn't even need 10gauge, run 12/2 UF if it's just lights, or nm if it's in plastic conduit.
