We did a couple here. It’s a job working around augers, but unless they’re worn out too, best to just suck it up and work around them.
We did do a Harsh that had the augers that bolted in with about 8 bolt flanges on each end. That one wasn’t too bad to take out the bottom ones and they needed flighting replaced anyway.
Those augers look like they’re drilled for knives but I don’t see any sort of shear bars in the mixer. We had a Harsh that would bend the right lower auger if it ever got more than a few pounds of unchopped hay in it. At the time we were running small squares of alfalfa through a FOX chopper and learned that the small pile of loose but unchopped hay left in front of it was not to be pushed into the pile with the chopped stuff! Those were the days!
