SW Ontario | A month ago I asked on here about relining a four auger Lucknow mixer. It wasn’t too bad of a job, we ended up just welding the new liner on top of the old one. We started cutting the old on out with zip discs, but quickly realized it was going to be a long painful process. Didn’t want to use the torch inside the feed room for the fire risk. We covered about nine feet of the twelve foot length as the end opposite the door had very little wear. My little Canaweld mig welder had no issues; I definitely exceeded the duty cycle at times, helps that it was cool out! The cool weather was also good for wearing a heavy coat to have some padding, I think the worst part of the job is all the awkward welding positions.
